Paul ListerPaul Lister - Owner

Paul is the owner and leading visionaire of the Alladale Highland Wilderness Reserve. Whilst managing the Lister Family Trust, Paul's passion is conservation and education resulting in him founding the European Nature Trust, a charity that has now adopted a key role at Alladale.  His vision for the Reserve, is a unique and pioneering ecological and social regeneration programme that will benefit local wildlife, landscape and communities in the Scottish Highlands.


Hugh Fullerton-Smith - General Manager

Hugh Fullerton-Smith Hugh is a livestock specialist and wildlife enclosure designer. Recent projects include the 450 hectare development at Hornby Castle Park in North Yorkshire for deer and bison.  From 2000, he has been retained as project manager for the aboriginal group, the Metis Settlements of Northern Alberta (600,000 hectares) and he project managed the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe's mobile abattoir programme for bison on the 1.1m hectare reservation in South Dakota, USA.  He has made numerous visits to Mongolia where he represented the US Mongolia Advisory Group to assist nomadic organisations and government to establish mobile meat processing systems in the western aimags (Bayan Ulgi) and in the south (Bayanhongor and Gobi).


Innes MacNeill - Head Ranger

innes_and_rangers.jpg Innes is Head Ranger. His experience spans over 15 years of managing the habitat, flora and fauna of Reserve. He is truly at one with Alladale. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna is positively encyclopedic and after a day on the Hill with Innes and his team of Rangers, guests never fail to return to the Lodge without singing their praises.  Innes heads up the ranger team which currently includes David (nickname 'Poppy'), Ronnie and Ben, all of whom enjoy sharing their collective knowledge and enthusiasm built on over 50 years on the Reserve.


Chris SandomChris Sandom - Volunteer Programme Leader & Science Programme Researcher

Responsible for establishing and running the environmental volunteer programme. The programme aims to bring those passionate about conservation and wildlife onto the reserve, primarily to learn more about Scotland's environmental history and to examine what can be done to increase biodiversity, but also to make a contribution to conservation actions on the reserve. Chris joined us having completed his Masters in Managing Envirnomental Change at the University of St Andrews.
