Nature can have a unique effect upon our bodies. Walking through wilderness offers us an experience of enormity that affects us beyond description. The surrounding itself is simply healing and provides an atmosphere of total rest and recuperation. We are going to harness this to its maximum and enjoy the magic!
We are proud to introduce you to a destination offering beauty, tranquillity, and beyond: the surrounding is restful for your eyes; the pure air is healing for the whole body. Walking on an uneven surface of soft ground exercises the muscles around the spine and feet; the unique movement resonates through the spine, increasing the blood flow and the lymph drainage.
A correctly chosen progression of exercises, rest and recuperation leads ultimately to the balanced body and mind. The Method Putkisto spinal special combines the indoor and outdoor exercises: floor-work classes stretch and elongate the short tight muscles and lifts, strengthens and aligns our spines; the outdoor programme is when we enjoy the breathing and the real challenge of using our bodies.
Alladale, centrally located deep in the Scottish Highlands is even more; we will be sharing the excitement, mission, philosophy and commitment to restore the nature to its original glory. Paul Lister (owner) has a vision to help nature to return to its full circle, the process is well on its way – and we are able to share some of the excitement of witnessing how nature heals itself.
The highlight of the break is the climb up a local mountain with Innes MacNeill (a Highlander, born and bred, who knows the mountain like the back of his hands). You will feel the healing effect the 4-hour slow hill/mountain walk can provide combined with Method Putkisto. Trust me on this one!
