Alladale Pony Trekking

Pony trekking at Alladale is available to guests and non-guests throughout the year.

Our ‘Highland' ponies are renowned for their ability and passive nature to happily traverse some of the toughest terrain.
 

Riders will trek deep into the Reserve where some of the most breathtaking scenery awaits you.  This makes for an unforgettable experience whether you are an experienced rider or not. 


Half-Day: Glen Alladale
Enjoy the experience of riding out past the old ruins and the chance of spotting our magnificent Highland cattle moving towards the ancient Caledonian woods, crossing the Alladale river (£60 pp)

Half-Day: Glen Mor
A ride out along two of the most beautiful glens in the Highlands where our instructor and guide will inform you of points of ecological importance (£60 pp)

Full-Day: "Alladale Tops" 
A challenging ride to some of our highest tops where you will be able to see both Scottish coasts! Why not take a fly-fishing rod?

This experience will make a lasting impression of your stay in one of the most beautiful locations in the Highlands. (£100 pp)

Our guide and instructor is John Calder.
Hard hats provided, but bring suitable boots /shoes.
